Lexington Place Senior Living Community, New Smyrna Beach FL

My brother moved into Lexington Place in June 2023 directly from rehab. His condition was tentative, especially since he had to change from another ALF.Since then, he has thrived! He has transitioned from a wheelchair to a Walker. His room is kept clean, the staff is friendly and he is happy!Thank Goodness for Lexington Place!

Lexington Place is amazing! Not sure which is best … the staff, the attention to our Father, the food, or many other special “extra” things they do (musicians, magicians, movies, etc. etc.)! The facility is clean, new, quiet & warmly accented. My siblings, my Father & I went through the decision to move him in together. We had no previous experience and Lexington Place made it easy and did not pressure us, at all. They understand how difficult the decision is and made it their job to completely know & understand our Father & situation, first. Just amazing. I could go on and on but want to mention that the residents, too are all very nice and welcomed our Father (just like the staff). My four siblings & I are very happy our Father is at Lexington Place and, more importantly, our Father is the most happy.

Lexington place is a truly special place. The employees are very warm, caring, and genuine. Each has gone out of their way to make a home for my family member, and they maintain an environment in which I know she will be cared for and safe. They have gone the extra mile to welcome her, and make her feel included in the community. The building is beautiful, and the food is excellent. A special shout out to Ashley who has been outstanding. Her professional demeanor, ultra positive attitude, and willingness to always go the extra mile has meant more than she will ever know.

Moved my MIL to this facility after a really bad experience with another facility. Ashley the marketing director was so sweet and caring with my mother-in-law. Now that she has been there for several months the care there is above and beyond. Every staff member calls the residents by name. They not only take care of them, they care about them. Ashley’s care and sweetness didn’t stop once the contract was signed. It is completely genuine.

This facility is very beautifully decorated and spacious. Residents enjoy freshly prepared meals daily. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and respectful of each resident. Among the many appealing attributes of this community is that a resident can transition in one facility.

Lexington Place has been wonderful from the start. It is clean and beautiful and the staff is amazing! Ashley was so helpful every step of the way and made the whole process stress free. My stepmother is in memory care and she is very well taken care of. Her room is very nice, the food is great, and the activities keep her focused and entertained. Our 93 year old mother is a resident at the Lexington Place in New Smyrna Beach since July 2022 and she’s living her best life. Her walking has improved, she happier than we’ve seen her in a very long time and she loves the staff. Our mom fit in from the very start with the help of the very kind staff. The Lexington is a great fit for my Mom. Mom has been living there since August of 2022. From the very beginning Ashley and the entire staff have made Mom and my whole family feel welcome. Ashley is truly amazing and was such a great help to us in getting mom settled in and always greets us with a big smile and warm hello every time we visit and she continues to make sure that Mom is ok. At 93 my Mom is now living her best life here at the Lexington, engaging in many of the activities that are offered daily as well as going on the outings that they offer. I feel that she is in good hands at the Lexington, which is such a comfort to me when I am not in FL.

Lexington Place has been a great fit for my family. My mother has resided there for a little over a year and I can honestly report her overall well being and health has improved since she has moved in. The facility is obviously clean and well maintained, however the most important component is staff. I can with confidence say that ALL staff has been beyond supportive and caring, and by all I mean from the front desk team members, maintenance and cleaning, dining room and of course care givers and the nurses. Every success my mother achieves is celebrated by everyone and she is encouraged and loved on everyday. She recently shared she has never had so many people tell her that they loved her.

Lexington Place in NSB is a fantastic place for your senior living needs! Last year, my aunt unexpectedly needed to move into assisted living. The staff at Lexington made the move as seamless as possible and went above and beyond to make my aunt feel welcome. My aunt swore she would never be happy living anywhere but the house she lived in for decades…but now, she is very happy in her beautiful apartment in Lexington, which she lovingly calls ‘home’.

I am part of my 86-year-old Father's caregiving team along with my siblings...and also on board is the staff at Lexington Place! With their help, as a going-on 2-year resident at LP, Dad has regained much of the physical and mental independence he lost after the death of my mother/his wife and after a life-changing fall. He is completely at ease in his living space/apartment. He feels comfortable taking care of his own hygiene and dietary needs knowing that, at the push of his call button, a Helper will visit and assist with any challenge that may come about. Thank you, Lexington, for providing my father with this dignity as he enjoys the twilight years of his life in comfort and safety.

Lexington Place has become a great new home for our dad. As he was recovering from surgery, the in-house physical therapy has been a very positive factor in his recovery. He is now living there mostly independently. My dad also loves that he does not need to go anywhere for haircuts or doctor visits. The staff has also been wonderful and very responsive to our needs over the past 18 months. Highly recommend!

If I could give no stars, I would!! Memory Care has had MULTIPLE SUBSTANTIATED DCF reports for neglect and abuse. Got extremely indignant with us because DCF was called by HOSPICE!! The staff is not trained to deal with memory care patients. Their resolution to handling patients that are having a hard time is to medicate them. Many residents extremely over medicated and have heads on tables sleeping. Medications not given at prescribed times or not at all. Mother in law fell 8 times in 5 weeks for being over medicated and not supervised hence hospice reports. When DCF got involved my mother in law was “asked” to leave. Weird! Got to the new facility with not only my mother in laws medication, but two other residents medications. And one was an anti-psychotic!!!!! HUGE HIPPA violation! When I told them that they gave me two other residents medication they stated that they did an inventory of the med cart and nothing was missing! More concerning, as I had the medication and even sent them pictures of it! Before placing your loved one in this facility (especially during COVID) please check the AHCA (Agency for Healthcare Administration) website and check out all of the violations. They have several for their staff not having the proper qualifications. The DCF reports that I mention above have been forwarded on to AHCA and will be handled by the state. I was told this process may take some months, but if you call AHCA they can tell you that there are pending cases against them. I have to say this facility was ok, when family members could “pop in” for visits, but since COVID, and families are only allied when the facility says they can come, they have been terrible!! I only write this because having a loved one with Alzheimer’s/Dementia is hard enough, but having them be in a facility that is neglectful and abusive is down right excruciatingly painful not only for the resident but for the family. Please do your homework before placing your loved one here. It IS a beautiful facility and they talk a good talk while families are checking it out, but they definitely don’t walk the walk once your loved one is a resident.

Lexington is a great place! My mom has been here for about a year now, because of her needs she required a bit more care than I felt she could receive at her previous facility. The biggest plus for me was that she wears her call button and is able to call for assistance anywhere in the building, the care team is alerted via their phone. Whenever I call it is pretty easy to speak with her care partner for that day which is a huge plus. There is a very helpful nurse there every day which is also a huge bonus. Mom loves the dining room where she can order off the menu, have guests and feel like she is dining out. No place is 100 percent perfect all the time and occasionally things have to be addressed, they are always accommodating and they work with me (I am there a lot) Mom loves to play bingo and a dice game they have in activities, She is 93 and in a wheelchair and not as active as most of the residents who go on some cool outings (day cruise coming up) Her room is a good sized one bedroom which we call her tiny house apt. We are glad that we chose Lexington.

Lexington is a wonderful, beautiful senior living community! Memory care is amazing,with many engaging activities! Memory Care what a frightening word. These words spoken by my fathers Doctor made my heart icy over and I felt intensely ill. Giving up that’s what I felt. I was going to abandon a man who created me and gave me a life of unconditional love and support to strangers. Balancing guilty against safety is not easy. I made the hard choice of starting to find a facility for my Dad. My neighbor suggested Lexington Place and I made the call with much trepidation. After speaking with Leighann LaRowe I felt as a weight was lifted of my shoulders and the ice started to melt around my heart. She was so professional yet I felt the compassion and understanding. She changed my perspective and opinion on assisted care living. She made me smile. I’ll never forget what she said; “You are not abandoning your Dad your expanding your family so we can help shoulder the Day to Day responsibility of care so you can be his son again. She was right I had become the parent. With those simple words I knew I found the right place for the person I love most in the world.

Lexington Place is a beautiful senior living community that is conveniently located near historic Canal Street. Upon arriving we were promptly greeted by the very courteous Receptionist BreAna and offered fresh baked cookies and coffee. The Marketing Director Leighann was a delight and provided us with a tour of the beautiful community.

Lexington Place is a beautiful senior living facility. Top of the line amenities and resident care. The staff go above and beyond and treat residents as they would their own family. You can always see the Lexington transport bus around town taking the residents to lunch, shopping, movies, and local events within the community. I will be looking into this facility for my parents.

Lexington Place is nothing short of 5 stars. There receptionist was very welcoming when I came in to tour, and right when I walked in it smelt of homemade cookies. She offered me a drink and I almost felt like I was at home. On my tour I was shown the activity center, that also features movie theatre chairs! A beautiful courtyard with raised planter beds for their garden club (perfect for my mom), fitness center and spa. The staff were all friendly and the residents were all laughing and having a good time. If you are looking for a great place for your parents, go to Lexington Place!
